New Jersey/New York City Trip in Photos: Day 1

(Note: As I'm sure someone else will explain, we embarked on our trip to Princeton, New Jersey and New York City today. I am going to be documenting our daily progress via photos and captions, so stay tuned. -matthew)

After Mom and Dad got me in Norman, we picked up Adam from camp, where he greeted us with newly blond hair.

Of course our first stop had to be at the Durant, Oklahoma Walmart.

We picked up road food, as well as an electric cooler for the car. Armed with this new form of road food refrigeration, we were off.

Of course, not after picking up some lunch. The Jack In The Box advertised "New York Style Cheesecake."As we are going to be in New York, I figure that this offers a perfect opportunity to double-check Jack In The Box's cheesecake's authenticity. More to come.

And while we're at it, we may as well stop at the purported "world's largest McDonalds."

The view is quite stunning.

A final push driving, and we finally reached our destination for the night, Springfield, Missouri. Of course, so did the rain.We had a late dinner at a nearby Bob Evans, and settled into our hotel, a Drury Inn for a good night's rest and blogging.
